What To Expect From Our Dental Implants & Restorations In Pineville Near Charlotte
The dental implant procedure begins by thoroughly assessing your oral health, determining your candidacy for dental implants, and establishing your dental restoration treatment plan.
The implant procedure is followed by an implant placement. Your Pineville dentist, Dr. Raynald L. Desameau, DMD, carefully places a suitable implant post in your jaw. Once the implant post is in place, you will go through a recovery period to allow the implant to fuse with your jawbone.
After the recovery period, an abutment is placed to form the base, allowing your tooth replacement to attach to the implant post. The dental implant surgery procedure’s final stage is the restoration stage, which may include the placement of a dental crown or bridge to replace your missing tooth or teeth.
Depending on your current level of oral health, jawbone density, and the number of implants you require, your experience during and after a dental implant procedure may differ. Our approach during a dental implant surgery procedure is tailored to meet your unique situation. With a complete dental restoration, your smile will be restored and your dental implant will look and function just like a natural tooth.
Benefits Of Dental Implants
It is well-known that the cost of dental implants can be higher than that of dental crowns or bridges; the long-term value and benefits of implants, however, are significantly superior to those of crowns or bridges.
Key benefits of dental implants include:
- Functional smile: A missing tooth can cause the adjacent teeth to start shifting. With dental implants, the other teeth are prevented from shifting, thereby restoring your straight smile.
- Durable restoration: Dental implants are much more durable than standalone restorations because they’re secured deep in your jawbone.
- Healthy bone: A dental implant mimics the tooth root that keeps your bone healthy. Therefore, your jawbone keeps receiving its natural stimulation without causing any bone loss. This is commonly encountered with many other standalone restorations such as fixed dentures and bridges.
- Beautiful smile: Dental implants look just like natural teeth, making them an excellent option for people who want a healthier, more beautiful smile!
Frequently Asked Questions About Dental Implants
The cost of dental implants varies from patient to patient, but it is usually determined based on the patient’s bone quality and bone quantity. While the cost of dental implants may initially seem expensive, dental implants are longer-lasting and more durable than other teeth replacement methods like dentures and bridges.
It often costs more to maintain dentures and bridges in the long run than it does to make an initial but long-lasting investment in dental implants.
At Radiant Smiles Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, we provide affordable dental implants for patients who are missing one or more teeth. Fixed dentures are another teeth replacement option for missing teeth. Fixed dentures are permanent replacement teeth that are held in place by dental implants or a dental bridge.
A dental implant, on the other hand, is a prosthesis for replacing missing teeth. Usually, an implant consists of a small titanium post that is inserted into the jawbone, on top of which a single crown, fixed bridge, partial denture, or full denture can be attached. Once the implant is fused to your jaw bone, an abutment is connected to the implant and is then attached to the artificial tooth or teeth.
Unlike removable dentures that require multiple replacements over time, fixed dentures are permanently attached to your implants.
With fixed dentures, you don’t need to struggle with denture glue and will be able to eat your favorite meals easily. At Radiant Smiles Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, our dentists will assess your dental needs to determine your candidacy for dental implants or fixed dentures in Pineville near Charlotte.
Nearly anyone who is missing a single tooth or multiple teeth is an excellent candidate for dental implants.
The bioTE hormone replacements are fashioned into tiny pellets, which are inserted into the body in a discreet location. It takes just a few minutes to complete the pellet insertion, and most people have no pain or only mild discomfort. The pellets will deliver steady doses of the all natural hormones into the body. This process generally needs to be repeated every 4-6 months in women. Many women notice an improvement in the way that they feel almost immediately, and they may also notice that they look more youthful overall thanks to the positive impact the natural hormones can have on the skin. The difference between an All-on-4® dental implant and traditional implants is the number of implants it has. Unlike individual traditional implants, an All-on-4® implant is used on individuals missing all their teeth as alternative teeth replacements. Based on your unique needs, our dentists will assess your condition and determine your candidacy for either simple traditional dental implants or All-on-4® implants.

Dr.Desamean is just fabulous as well as his staff I am very content and feel absolutely safe when he does procedure on my teeth. And Shannon thanks for going out your way to help me you all are my family away from home. Love you all!Martha White
I usually don't leave reviews, but I want to do so for this dentist. The staffs are so nice and kind. Dr. Raynald is the dentist you can trust. From the previous dentist, my kid was recommended for either root canals or extractions of one of the permanent teeth. But Dr. Raynald found out that infection is not in the tooth, but in the gums(right beside the tooth). So he removed all the infected pus and cleaned out the area and stitched up safely. My kid was not afraid of the procedure. Also, it was really hard to find out a dentist office that accepts my insurance. This dentist accept many different insurances, including mine. I highly recommend this dentist. I will bring my other kids to this dentist.SangEon Park
